An urgent repair was needed for a damaged inlet nozzle flange face, inhibiting well operations. The flange face proved too shallow for machining, requiring an innovative solution.
The Macfab Group applied Arcor© ceramic epoxy composite, restoring the damaged face to its original condition, prolonging the life of the flange. Well operations were then able to go live and restart safely. As a result, Arcor© has now been deemed an ‘approved engineering repair solution’, able to be applied across all facilities.
